Evidence Builds Our Practice: Minnesota Student Survey

February 17, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Join us on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at St. Cloud State University’s Atwood Memorial Center (Gallery Room) for networking from 8:00–8:30 a.m., followed by a featured presentation by Dr. Michael Rodriguez from 8:30–10:30 a.m.

Dr. Michael Rodriguez profiles the 2025 Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) data, offering a current picture of local students’ developmental skills and capacity to succeed. This story gives educators and professionals needed insights in order to leverage supports, particularly across racial and ethnic communities, and find utility behind the numbers to shape student outcomes.

We'll discuss:

  • Developmental skills: commitment to learning, positive identity, social competence.

  • Developmental supports: empowerment, teacher and school support, family and community support.

  • Developmental contexts: importance of a positive sense of belonging, experiences in out-of-school time.

Seating is limited at this FREE event, so please REGISTER HERE.

He previously served as dean of the College of Education and Human Development (Twin Cities campus) and is a professor of educational measurement. Formerly the Campbell Leadership Chair, he has lead the university's interdisciplinary work to address education equity and achievement gaps.
