Dr. Michael Rodriguez, from the University of Minnesota's College of Education and Human Development, profiles the 2022 Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) data, offering a current picture of local students’ developmental skills and capacity to succeed. This story gives educators and professionals needed insights in order to leverage supports, particularly across racial and ethnic communities, and find utility behind the numbers to shape student outcomes. About the Presenter: Dr. Michael Rodriguez is currently the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at the University
of Minnesota, and has served as professor of quantitative methods in education, with a focus on educational measurement and assessment. As the Campbell Leadership Chair, he co-directs the Educational Equity Resource Center, leading the university's interdisciplinary work, addressing educational equity and achievement gaps. His team, the Minnesota Youth Development Research Group, has conducted research on the MSS for over 13 years, resulting in more than 25 national presentations.
