Community Forum #6:“Inclusion in the Workplace; definition, best practices & tools to get you started”

An inclusive workplace is defined as a work environment that makes every employee feel valued while also acknowledging their differences and how these differences contribute to the organization’s culture and business outcomes. An inclusive workplace is characterized by affirmative action, wherein any impact of bias/discrimination/unequal opportunity is negated.

Brian Myres

Brian Myres of Myres Consulting, LLC and DAYTA Marketing is originally from Pequot Lakes MN. He moved to St Cloud Mn in 1980 to obtain a BS degree in Finance from SCSU and had a successful banking career spanning 36 years, most recently as Managing Vice President of Capital One 360. Prior to the acquisition by Capital One, Brian was one of the founders of Citi- zens Savings Bank and ING DIRECT USA and led both the operations and sales areas of ING DIRECT USA.

Today Brian resides in Clear Lake with his wife Karla and one of his sons and is enjoying his post banking career as a management consultant, senior strategist and mentor at DAYTA Mar- keting and community volunteer and board chair of the JA Wedum Foundation and the Greater St Cloud Development Corp, and a board member of the Greater St Cloud Public Safety Foun- dation and Central Minnesota Boy Scout Council.
