Central Minnesota Child Care Response Fund & United Way of Central Minnesota present this training series at NO COST to participants. Professional development and parent trainings are available to those who care for children in Central Minnesota. Participants must live in our service area to qualify for free participation (see below).

How Do We Give Children a Strong Start? Six Acquired Skills
This is an online self paced professional development course. Participants will Identify important emotional milestones caregivers can help children achieve as the foundation for positive mental health. Each section includes strategies to support children as they progress to the next social/emotional milestone. In addition, identify red flags for developmental concerns.
WIDA and Early Childhood Development
Explore the WIDA Early Years framework and its connection to the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. WIDA Early Years is a tool to support multi-language learners in early childhood classrooms, by identifying and celebrating their strengths while meeting their individual needs. WIDA Early Years has been aligned with the MN ECIPs to identify how language plays a critical role in all domains of learning. This is an Anytime Learning Module.
**Registration for this course closes 10/29/2023, but can be completed until November 5, 2023.
***This training is limited to 30 registrants and United Way is billed for all registrants whether the course is completed or not. Please do not register if you do not intent to complete this course.
