Evaluation and Reporting Manager
What do you do at United Way of Central Minnesota?
I ensure that our partners for this grant are using best practices to collect the data we need, so that when we report that information to the state and federal governments, we do so accurately and effectively. Evaluating these practices also helps ensure that we remain compliant and that we are serving students to the best of our abilities through our School and Community Centers for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I love building out systems that maximize efficiency and make things simpler for partners. This role allows me to use my expertise of data systems and still get to work with community partners.
Favorite quote?
“The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think but to give you questions to think upon.”
Your top favorite Podcast/Book?
I am an avid reader—especially of anything sci-fi or fantasy. My current book series is Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere series. As for podcasts, I listen to a lot of tabletop actual-play shows, such as Not Another D&D Podcast or Worlds Beyond Number.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I am deep into the nerd culture like video games and D&D. I read a lot and I do a lot of different crafting like crochet and pyrography.
