Day of Caring
United Way's Day of Caring is an annual event to mobilize people in Central Minnesota to make a positive difference through volunteering. In 2006, Day of Caring Teams brought together over 325 volunteers, donated 1,600 hours of service and completed 35 projects in the community. The value of services provided by the volunteers was over $30,000.
In 2007, teams of volunteers completed a variety of projects through our partner programs and early childhood partners on September 21, 2007.
Day of Caring's primary goal is to promote year-round volunteerism and community resources: Give or Get Help through United Way 2-1-1 and United Way Volunteer Central.
