Meet with
Your CEO

As with any project, your United Way campaign works best if you have support from the top. Tht is why it is important to meet with your top decision maker.

In your intital meeting these are the specific committments you should obtain from your CEO.

· Permission to do group solicitation. This is a good way to reach all employees with a consistent message about United Way of Central Minnesota, making sure all questions are answered. It is also the most efficient use of your time because it means less follow-up.

· Establish a campaign budget.

· Support United Way of Central Minnesota's Leaders in Giving program by
conducting a separate solicitation of senior management.

· Personally endorse the campaign by speaking briefly to employees at each group solicitation meeting.

· Endorse the campaign through a letter to employees.

· Lead or endorse a team to participate in Day of Caring.

· Obtain company campaign incentives.

· Support and participate in special events.
